Two birds with one engine damper...
I installed my new engine damper from Helix and it got rid of the vibration from my polyurethane engine mounts. I expected the damper to make the vibration a bit worse, but it did the opposite.
About 2 or 3 months ago I installed the Madness polyurethane engine mount(s). It felt like it cut the jolty feeling from shifting by a huge 50%.
I was really impressed, but it did create a very subtle vibration at idle. The vibration didn't bother me, but it was noticable.
I have since installed an engine damper from Helix, in addition to the engine mounts. The minor vibration I was experiencing at idle is now completely gone, and the car shifts even smoother up through the gears. It's as quiet and steady at idle as it was stock.
These parts work together way better than I expected.

It will make shifting smoother... if that's what you meant. It may increase the noise and vibration at idle.
