For next time we are thinking of a magic word game without guessing. We want to initiate a discussion on an issue or item of some sort. And the first person to use the magic word in their post would win. There may or may not be clues as the word would be a more common conversational word. Do you think it would work?
Yeah, it would work if you strike up a conversation.

Our First Sergeant does this, if we say the word we get a free lunch at the chow hall. Not sure if it is a punishment or reward, but it is fun game.

Fun. Congrats to the winner! It is always fun to win something - anything really. A Craven CAI, WOW! I am suprized the magic word wasn't MINI related however.
I kinda like the mystery word in a subject thread. Although the repsonses may end up very wordy and long. Not that I'd ever run on with random thoughts and words or perhaps odd sayings or may weird facts, or...

How could we limit the length of posts in that kind of game? Any ideas?

A word count would be difficult to enforce, wouldn't it?

I'd like to play another game next week, but we'll need a good one with rules that are objective and easily enforces. Ideas?

Might limit the number of posts, like one post per day in the thread, and one statement, like a main Idea of the post off the main topic and must stay on topic so to speak.

edit: Kinda like one paragraph that must be related to the main idea of the post

I suppose you can try to make it so the magic word leads everyone to stay on topic with a few choice hints. I'd love to give it a go early in the week! However, maybe like some others in the NAM community, I'll be away for the holiday weekend. Not that I'm on vacation. We're driving (the heavily loaded conversion van not the MINI ) to exhibit in an art show in Boulder, CO. No computer access for me for a week and a half. After the show it's a visit with family in Denver. If it begins early enough I'll be trying for the magic to land on me!

How about - "I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 1,000,000 - the first one to guess it wins a Craven decal?"

Good Question.

1. When placing an order on cravenspeed.com, during the checkout process you will be asked if you are a club member. If you put 'NAM game' in this section then I will know you were a participant. The total that you see will not reflect the discout. Your card, however, will not be charged untill after the discount has been applied.
2. You can call me at 888-493-7262 and place an order.

Thanks

Special on Intakes and Pulleys

If you are interested in a Cold Air Intake and you are anywhere near Van Nuys. You want to contact Danny at Minicorsa http://www.minicorsa.com/

Minicorsa is running a special where you can get a CAI, Belt, 15% Supercharger pulley and plugs all installed for only $550 with tax included.

The deal is only on through the end of the month, so give them a call.

Wow that looks like a good deal, anyone in Portland want to match that? I was thinking of driving to California this weekend though.
