Ok, I'm back to NAM. I just bought a Cooper S over the weekend. My Cooper was all good but it was time to move on. It had a K&N CAI and Borla exhaust.
The Cooper S is an awesome car but I can't hear the damm engine. So I check out NAM last night and looks like one-ball is my friend. Any Naysayers?
Here's my compilation of the info here.

And a little icing on the cake using the MINI Cooper S Exhaust Tips:

What do you think? Suggestions?
Also, someone is selling me the the Ultrik K&N intake for $50. Works ok?

I like my factory tips. But some folks like the big'uns. I think it's cooler to have good sound coming out of the little beer can tips. Plus it lures the ricer boyz into thinking I'm slow cause, like, my tips are tiny and, like, I have no wing... not that I would EVER show off on the street...
Same as above. I have the same setup you pictured, same tips.
Little more noise, little less weight, all good!
Search around for a good exhaust shop. I only paid $45 to get mine done.
Oh, and if you get those accessory tips? Before installing, mask the edges and paint the inner with flat black BBQ paint. Seeing the smaller hole inside the bigger opening just doesn't look right. JMHO.

Painting the inside part of the tips is really unecessary. The amount of black carbon that the MINI exhaust puts out will make it nice and black for you in a week or so after you put them on. Mine certainly are black!
I have the oneball + the upgraded oem tips. I enjoy it. you will be pleased. Mine cost 70 for the work and 40 for the tips. I flanged mine to 2.5" right after the cat flange and went 2.5 back to the muffler. Prob un-necessary but I did it any way.
Either way I'm happy for the 100 bucks spent.

I'm a Borla fan but that's a lot of benjamins. One-ball is something I can try and even if I don't like it, I can get another S exhaust for free it seems.

minefield of a question. For all practical purposes no. But if push comes to shove and your dealer is a jerk... i could see where it could come up in conversation.
search on nam for warrenty... more reading then you could ever get through.

One-ball is a great low-cost option. Everyone should give it a try for the price. It's basically stock sounding but slightly more aggressive on throttle, more burble, and less backpressure and weight. Those tips will look nice too!
francois, now you know what ftw means:

From my research here, this is a non-issue. Of course , one would probably need many cars over 100k miles to get a lifespan data.
