davisflyer was there with us in the fall - he and I spent a couple of sessions taking turns pulling...

C'mon folks - no better way to spend Memorial Day off... it'll be a BLAST.

I'll be there...

Too bad my RMW tune will come about 2 weeks after this event. It'd be really fun to try my new ECU on this track!

I'm trying to make this event. Had a ball there for the fall class last year. Would be nice to get a room at the lodge and get there early enough Sunday to watch the Indy 500. I would like to stay Monday night as well. The four and a half hour drive home right after the fifth track session just about did me in! Tuesday will be practice day for stock car teams, that would be fun to watch too. Anybody interested in sharing a room?

Seems a rather small group is coming - should be lots of track time for all and the weather looks promising.

May get a shower or two, but it's definitely NOT going to rain all day. We may welcome a shower to give us a little rest between sessions, it's gonna be so seat-time-intensive.

Gotta finish adjusting my rear camber today (just installed control arms last night) and get my track pads on and brakes bled tomorrow. See you folks bright and early on Monday!

I'm driving up Monday AM early. I'm only about an hour away.

It's the South Course.

The "official" motel is considered to be the Sleep Inn in Danville, VA.

I think it's safe to assume we will once again be running the
South Course.

One Lap . . .

Had a blast, as usual!! Thanks to Flow Mini of course for sponsoring the event!

Every time I go to a Phil Wicks event, I learn something new, and it makes me a better driver on the track!

Many thanks!! Hope to go to Nashville this fall. I'll try and convince my dad to come again!

Cheers, Scott

I had an EXCELLENT time as well - very good instructor-to-student ratio this time - I had a dedicated instructor all day in the intermediate group and he helped me A LOT. Phil and team (and the VIR staff) did a good job pulling off the combination of our group and the motorcycle group - everyone got plenty of track time and I don't think it detracted from anyone's experience.

For those who weren't there - Phil couldn't get enough folks signed up to fill the day - so he teamed up with Elite Sportbikes and they ran a small group in parallel on the same course (at different times, of course). So there were two groups of bikes and two groups of cars. We got six sessions in which is pretty much all you can handle before you go cross-eyed and start making more mistakes...

My third Phil Wicks and this one did not disappoint, great instruction with plenty of track time!!! Everytime I go, I learn something new and am able to hone what was learned before!! Phil and his staff and the instructors were fantastic and went out of the way to make sure everyone was happy! Big thanks to Flow Mini in Winston-Salem, NC for their continued support for these track days and their support to the Mini community as a whole! Heck I really enjoyed watching the bikes run between sessions and talking to those folks too!!

PS: A big thank you to all the track people at VIR too, as usual they did a first class job keeping things going smoothly!! Can't wait for the next one later this year at VIR!!!
