True my last 2 instructors have been great but they had different ways to handle the track it was fun to do some of both and see what I like best. Road Atlanta in 3 weeks.

have you run w/ NASA before? if so, how do you compare them with other groups? if not, give us some feedback after the event, please. they are one of four groups w/ which i can run in so. fla. i haven't run w/ them yet. only PBOC and PCA. i would appreciate your feedback on how well the event is run and how "safe" it seemed.

Off to TMS (Texas Motor Speedway) for the yearly night DE. (6pm to midnight) running the Roval (combined oval and infield road course). Not the best track for a MINI but I'm hoping to have a lot of fun.

Who sponsor's that? I didn't know they had this. I work the SCCA races at TMS. They have a driver's school in December usually.

NASA is one of the most oprganized groups I have ever seen. You can work your way up thru the ranks to actual dooor to door racing if you so desire. Good instruction and very well run.

Great weekend. The car was a bit loud Sat and I thought nothing other than the crummy Megan Racing cat back was coming apart again, the last time out I cut across the gators on 10 A and it sounded very loud went into the pits to see what was wrong and the catback and the cat were no longer bolted together. Half *** fixed it made it home and off to the shop this week to get really fixed.

Drove solo most of the weekend and was really picking up speed car ran well in 100 plus temps.

I have my very first track day this coming weekend at Hallett in Oklahoma. This is one of the main reasons I bought my car. I'm not inviting anybody to go with me for fear that it will be like the scene in Talladega Nights where Ricky Bobby is tooling around the track at 45 mph and everone is passing him going 200!

That's pretty funny. Just go and enjoy your car. You may surprise yourself.

Take that sense of humour along with you too.

Our last day at Heartland Park was cancelled, so I'm looking forward to our next one on Sept 15th. I'm hoping it will be a bit cooler too, it was 106* on Aug 15th when our last event was supposed to happen. They've redone a couple of corners and lap times are 3 -4 sec faster now, plus the track flows a lot better.............

Going through a bout of DE withdrawal myself. Next one is not until Sept 15/16 and last one was in July. Not many scheduled in Aug in TX due to the heat.

Next track day on Sept 15th and 16th at Barbers with Chin this will be the 11th so far this year. It's been awhile since I've made any changes to the car so it's time. Sometime next week I'll get the big brake kit put on also going with camber plates and coilovers got the AST's from Texas Speed Werks with the Swift springs. Got the Hotchkis camber plates from Don at DMH at a very good price also the brake kits came from Don, so the car ought to be a bit different than the last time it was on the track.
