driving school for 16yo?
]Drivers Edge say..]16 years old, if they have a valid driver’s license, and with both parent’s/legal guardian’s[]sign event minor waiver. Note: We teach a higher level of performance driving, you need to have driving experience before we can do so
So, my son has his license for almost a year... Now, I would like him to drive safe and sound... is this a good school for him? I mean, he wants to do Autocross and drag racing ... not with just a mini..but with a Camaro. I don't want him Street racing.. I understand Drivers edge statement of driving experience...but what do you think? I'm even thinkin about goin to this school with my MCS, cuz, I suck at driving...granny type putterin .... thanks Ladyvalea

Try this first:
Start slowly with your son and get him to go to this first: streetsurvival.org
There is of course the professional schools such as Skip Barber that have teen courses.
You want to really learn to have fun, go to racing school.

+1 for Street Survival School
There is one in Ft Worth, TX on 4/17/2010 hosted by Lone Star Chapter BMW Car Club of America. Also, check if Lone Star Chapter BMWCCA hosts a Autocross School, I know our local BMWCCA chapter host like 3 or 4 a year. But, Driver's Edge is good too if you register early and get in for FREE and I know that Randy Pobst is involved in it some how. BMWCCA, might be more affordable at $60 for Street Survival and around $100 for Autocross School. A BMWCCA Car Control Clinic might also be good, it's the adult version of Street Survival School.
