Hype is True

Read this thread with some skepticism, but took a chance and bought a bottle of Hydro to check-out all the hype.

Holy S%@t, this stuff is great. Deepens my shine and hides all the swirls.

Count me in for a gallon on next order.

OK, I'm a believer. I recently applied Epic and for the last couple of washes have used Hydro when drying. This is pretty amazing stuff. And it smells so good!

Good Grief

If I find any more uses for Hydro and Slick, I'm going to have to order it in 50 gallon drums. This stuff works on everything...even the cat

I'm a believer. I Hydro'ed my MINI for the first time on Saturday. The decrease of dust on the boot and the ease of washing bug goo off the windshield is amazing!!!

Plus Lulu looked fantastic. Drizzle this morning has left her a bit grimy. But less dust on the boot means less mess from wet roads.

Thanks Detailer's Paradise.

Went to the drugstore at lunch, parked beside a Volvo convertible, it was a nice blue color & very clean, it had bird poop on the side of it. I felt an abnormally strong urge to whip out my Hydro & MF & get it off for them. I know the situation really called for slick but I don't use slick so I had none on hand.

Do these types of urges make me weird

haha don't know if it makes you weird but I have them all the time... especially when I'm in someones car with a dirty dash I just want to wipe some nero on it, or when people have really dirty wheels I really really want to clean them. I'm just OCD

i will get back to PDR again after my younger son is a little older.

the irony is i haven't gotten one ding since parking up close to the
entrance of malls and stores, etc.

I just reordered Hydro along with some more MF's. My MINI has been treated with Epic, but the YUKON XL is just too big for me to tackle so it gets only Hyrdo.

Well, yes, I'm afraid it does make you weird... but you have lots of company here!!

I know what you mean. I have a hard time walking through any parking lot anymore!

I know what you mean with the big rigs... we bought an '01 Suburban (which is the same size as the Yukon XL for those who may not know) a few months ago and have yet to give it the full polish treatment. For us, that's a very long time to not polish one of our own! This is somewhat because we haven't had any time but also because it's just too easy and effective to Hydro it instead! It practically looks brand new with just Hydro.

Note that it looks especially good not only from the Hydro but because of the lighting in this particular shot. This amount of low light is perfect for car photos! Certainly, Hydro is doing an excellent job here but I always feel it's important to point out when lighting is helping too.

Being that we're DP (oh the pressure! ), I suppose we'll have to give it the full polishing it deserves at some point but for now we're just Hydro'ing it. If we weren't DP though, I'd just Hydro and that's all for good!

I think that's one of the downsides (or upsides??) to Hydro... it does make you lazy!
