Well, the way I look at it, I've spread this project over a little more than three years so far, so a few more days won't make that much difference.

I've decided that so long as I am claying a clean car, the rest does not much matter. Thanks all.

I've got Slick from DP, but will likely just use Meguiars to Claybar it.

The soccer tournament wound up being rained out, so I had more free time, but I also had rain. It eventually dried enough that I could wash, clay, and apply Z2 and Z6.

All in under 30 minutes!

Actually, I'm so tired I have no idea how long it took.

I bought my BRG not long after moving to DC, and not long before my first pollen season here. I remember walking out to the car (I park on the street) and being startled by just how beautiful the even dusting of gold looked on a BRG background.

It doesn't stay pretty, not by a long shot, but it was a pretty moment.

I am just all pouty because I got all my products rushed to me so I could break out my PC for the 1st time today & spend all day detailing my Mini into a perfect little chili red mirror & then <poof> I get up Thursday & there is pollen on the Mini

Oh well, silver lining & all, I will now wait til the end of April to big detail & my Mini will be a little CR mirror for MOTD

Same here. Green Haze is in full force now. Should subside in a few weeks...

Then I'll have to get all the crap out of the interior....

after rain RH can reach as high as 100%.... like today here in chi-town
weatherchannel stated 73%RH, but when i opened the garage door my
thermometer quickly rose from 68% to 93%. yep, my
cars that were garaged were fogged up within minutes...

obviously too humid to do any waxing with the door open so i shut
the door, ran the dehumidifier and fan until i could get it down to at
least 75%. my BofS (natural wax) took 2hrs to cure last night on the
G when my garage was 60F 70%RH... i highly doubt any polymers
including zaino would cure faster out doors after rain... especially
not in 30min

you're better off using Hydro ... seriously. this is why im
using Hydro on my cars parked outside cause there is no initial
cure time needed. just mist, wipe, let it do its thing.

right now im letting BofS cure overnight on my MCS. garage temp is
62F RH73%. im going to shut down the dehumidifier in about an hr.

removed the haze this morning, dry buffed, cleaned the tires, and
this afternoon nero'ed the interior. my MCS is 95% finished.
both cars turned out simply gorgeous.

im going to Clarity the windows on the inside later on...just too humid
right now again as i had the garage door opened to inspect my work outside.
it looks like it's going to rain within the hour.

overall G took about 11hrs + 2hrs cure time, MSC took about 10hrs +
gave it 10hrs cure time. biggest difference is i did not use paintprep
on the MCS and skipped clay. both cars got Polish3 treatment and BofS.

next up is my legacy. im definitely going to get that 3" orbital from
Griot's. and will try PrimaSwirl next time around.

Sheesh you are more thorough than me. My last major detail, which was all done by hand, only took 5-6(ish) hours. I am hoping to cut that time down when I break out the PC next month

on my commuter the most i usually spend is about that much...5-6hrs.

when you really go into detailing your weekend cars you look at things
VERY differently.

but im probably slow too. but with hydro on the commuters, im not going
to spend any more than maybe 2hrs tops to spot clay/polish and just go
Hydro.

Sounds mahvelous. You should take a couple of days off and drive down south to visit me and bamatt so we can see how clean your car is...
