Ice = scratches
Ice = scratches
Howdy All,
I had a solid block of ice on my black roof from the storm here on Friday. I know not to just slide it off, but as the sun came out and it warmed, the stupid thing slid off anyway, leaving some pretty bad scratches
.
I have a PC and only used it once - it left micromarring, I got scared of it, and haven't touched it since. I know I'll need it to fix these scratches (and the general swirls that come over time on the black roof). Prior to using it the first time, I read everything I could about technique and whatnot, but I'm sure my technique was off.
The first time I tried the PC I used Sonus pads and Poorboys products. This time I have the Sonus pads and the Sonus products, as well as scratch-x if I need it.
I'm up for getting whatever products will work best (sorry no pics) for not only the swirls, but the scratches caused by the ice. So, would you mind offering up some suggestions for polishes and pads that work well together and would help in this situation? Thanks!

I would suggest using Meguiars M80 with the 8006 yellow pad, follow with M80 with maybe the 9006 finishing pad or LC grey pad, then Prima Amigo with the LC grey pad, the of course PRIMA EPIC with LC grey pad. Or just PM me, I am located in NJ and do detailing.
