Try vinegar on the Epic. May have to let it soak and work it in.

How about this? If we make ImagoX a Monster Fluffy bunny suit and he wears it, will you THEN wear the Hydro head??

Going to take some cool shots tonight. Yay.
Actually, it's too shiney right now...

Wait until tomorrow afternoon when it's cured. THEN show us the photos.

You'll have the shine and the wet depth! Then yer mum will be in awe of the black richness. That's part of the Epic fun! (although for Ken I'll add that Hydro has that same cool delayed effect after 24 hours!)

Thanks for sharing the photos Brendan!

Here's one shot from tonight...

Angle is a little weird, but it grows on you.

Nice parking garage - I can't remember the last time I saw one where the overhead lights were actually *white*.

Also, with shutter speeds of 1/15s and 1/40s, were those shots handheld, or did you use a tripod? The first picture looks a little "soft", but that's a lot better than I do handheld at 1/15s without some kind of image stabilization.

Yeah, that's a crap car that looks like crap. Too bad you couldn't shine it up a tad. JK JK
So nice and shiny, makes you want to wear a MF bunny suit and slide across the hood.
Oh and the first pic has a little too much angle - makes me a bit woozy.

Yea. The angle came out funky. And the first was handheld, as was the second.

I really wish the garage was empty, but what can you do... Maybe a photoshoot later, but we got kicked out by security (understandably, security reasons post 9/11, and the guy was into the car, but made us leave)

That looks awesome. I have a question about your detailing though. What is the taping for??

Great job MCDBrendan! You've learned well my friend.

re: tape
Have you ever looked closely at a car that's been waxed and seen white rubber trim, polish residue in the cracks around door frame edges, between panels, etc..? It's to prevent polish from getting there in the first place. Much easier to prevent polish and wax from getting in the cracks than trying to detail them out with a toothbrush later.
