Zymol MINI Care Kit

http://www.amazon.com/Zymol-Mini-Coo...8&s=automotive

Is this a good value?

I've been reading the Zymol vs Zaino threads, and I've decided to go with Zymol.

So i'm wondering if this is a good deal for the package and is it actually "formulated" for MINI's. Does anyone have this?

Thanks!!
Bijan

I use the Zymol wash. Bought 2 VERY small bottles and spent $45. So that is expensive stuff. After I wash w/Zymol, I wax w/Zaino and love it. I spent around $80 on a Zaino kit which included wash. Expensive? Not really. It should last about 2-3 yrs.
The Zymol kit doesn't show a wax or polish, just a "cleanse" and applicator.
That's the best I can do.

I really like the Zymol Clear (the soap) and it's very concentrated so it'll last a long time.

HD Cleanse is also a good paintwork cleanser. Although I wouldn't say it's all that much better than other paintwork cleansers, it is a good one.

The wee baby jar of wax that the kit includes is a carnauba paste wax.

As for the wax being specially formulated for MINI paint?? Well, let's put it this way... Yes, they did forumulate it specifically for MINI paint, but that doesn't mean that it's really all that much different than their other carnaubas. Any of the Zymol carnaubas would look good on MINI paint and... the more expensive ones will look a little better than the less expensive ones in most cases. I'd take the special MINI formulation part with a grain of salt. That said, it's a decent little jar of carnauba either way.

Here's what the MINI glaze/wax contains:
Carnauba Sap 11%, #1 Yellow Carnauba 22%, Peanut Oil, Coconut Oil, Cetyl Esters, Cetyl Cocoamide (derived from coconut oil), Propolis (derived from Bees) and Glycerl Stearate.

Note that it only contains 22% carnauba. I'm honestly not sure what the carnauba sap contributes. ?? Most Zymol carnauba waxes contain 37% to 61% carnauba (not that this percentage necessarily relates directly to performance/looks but it can).

Is it a good deal? Zymol doesn't make this kit nor the MINI wax/glaze anymore so what's for sale out there now is it. If you ever want to try it, there's a limited supply. Otherwise, it's probably decent deal since the items within do last quite a long time.

I use Zymol for my 330CI and it is a wonderful product. I plan on using the formulation that is made for the Mini when I get the Clubman. I've been on the waiting list since Dec. 05 for that. All the Zymol products are great and smell fantastic.
By only driving my convertible in nice weather, and dusting it before I put its cover on at my shop, I've only had to apply the wax one time (in 5 years) and have only washed her 3 times. Of course, I baby "Buffy" and only take her to my shop and home--no parking lots as I have had bad luck in them. One time someone spit on the car and the second time they dented her door.
I'm hoping they will not hurt the Mini.
