Yikes, minimalists!

i use the Xpel headlight protector if anyone cares. :lol:

use a heat lamp to make them soft, then apply using water only.
then squeegee out the water, toast it for about an hour under the
light. the clouding will completely dissappear in about 2-3 months.
just the way it is.

the reason why you want to use water is because you need
to keep your fingers wet with water, otherwise you leave
finger prints on the adhesive side.

I am in California and know that the MAN doesn't really like tinted ANYTHING

I am CR and have ruby tail lights so I was thinking about going euro and doing YELLOW

and blacking out the rings

any help locating the yellow and what about the rings do I paint or cover some how??

Be careful with the colored laminex stuff though, I recall people reporting it melting on their fogs awhile back.

I had the Stongard headlight film on a couple of BMWs and it worked well - very thick, really protected the lamps and no melting.

Thanks! So far I have not had any problems with the "MAN". I have "everything" tinted. My wife (the blond) got a perscription from her doctor for tinted windows to prevent UV rays. I keep a copy in the glove compartment.
That helps with the window tint issue, but I am sure that won't fly for the headlights.

I painted my headlight basils, but I understand from Peter at M7 that someone has developed and sells a vinal cover. I think I saw this somewhere on a post here on NAM as well.

My taillights are euro-blackened.

I know your Mini is your weekend car, perhaps you don't run the lights on long enough to have issues? In any case, I just mention it because I recalled seeing it come up here and I think maybe on BMW boards in the past. I did a search and here is one thread where melting was mentioned:
