Costco Microfiber towels?

Lately, I've taken to DF Concours towels for QD and buffing/polish removal. They grab better than any other MF towel I've used, and feel soft and silky to the touch. These actually get plusher with every wash.
The Medium sized towel is 29.5"x16", which is plenty to turn the towel frequently and complete one pass on a MINI.For windows, I've been using Sonus Der Wonder Polishing Towels for a couple years. Lower nap means less streaking and less elbow grease involved.
For drying, I use the Griot's Garage MF Drying Towel. It's something that I'll be replacing once I find something better, but overall, it's pretty effective until it gets waterlogged (and it does get waterlogged if I try to dry my MINI without quickly running a squeegee over it first). It could be just that I need two of them, but at $50 for two, it's a bit price-prohibitive.
those are for pansies.
i thinkyou'll like both Epic and the towels!
ImagoX- yes, MF = Monster Fluffy!

I use the greeoh's THICK towel 16x16 size (i think). I have 2 of those.
one can do one car, but since i wash 2 cars at a time, it's a great pair!

btw, if you haven't already, yank off that wash tag completely.
You're trusting the opinions of a community of conformists whose opinions shift like sand dunes?

Seriously, opinions on this board are so fluid, it's impossible to keep up. Ultimately, your opinion is all that matters (unless your opinion on say, Costco MF towels, is wrong
), so find what you like and don't worry about what anyone else says.
Yeah, well, I really was impressed with the NXT so the Epic Prima has stiff challenge ahead of it, IMO. We'll see !
And I'm learning who the detailing experts are on the board and I do give some credence to their advice. So far, they've not steered me wrong.
To think, I used to use Mother's California Gold Carnuba on my cars. :impatient

Ok, I can try the Monster Fluffy given the recommendations of the these fluid sand dune posters.
But I have to admit that it sounds like I'll be wiping my car down with the neighbor's overweight cat.

And, they don't claw you in the groin if you put one in your pants....
There I go again, talking out loud. Damn!
it's great wax. easy on, easy off. i still have a coat of it on myG35C since the July app although topped off with Griot's SprayOn wax
for a very nice finish.
but there's better products out there forOTBWD club.
from Meg, i think we should be looking at more of the M21 class.
PS - I've never used NXT, but opinions on it here seem pretty positive overall. Epic is a relative newcomer around here, but already it's getting quite a following, both because it seems like quality product and because Heather, the shop's owner, is so helpful to everyone.
Before I switched over to Epic (I'm still testing and writing my review), I was a Meguiar's Gold Class user, as I've always been partial to a carnuba-based wax. I have to say, though, that so far the Epic is SHINIER and has already lasted longer than even a multi-coat Gold Class application. And it has less issues with static (in fact, Epic seems to make NO static charge).
A spritz of "Slick" (the matching detail spray product) instantly restores the Epic-treated surface to its "just waxed" slickness, even after being coated with thick, chunky road grime... Color me impressed. It will be VERY interesting to see how it endures an infamous Ohio winter.
at least it seems the cat is safe ... for now.I will second or third the fact that Detailers Paradise has the best microfiber buffing towel bar none. The Monster Fluffy (or IPP "ImagoX Pant Pal" as it is now known
) is easily twice as thick as the blue Sonus buffer and yet it folds easily and washes well. A three pack will not be enough!Epic is currently under 8 inches of snow on the MINI and it still shines. The snow is just kind of hovering about an inch above the car - amazing . At this point, with two weeks on - I'm liking it very well. It looks very wet and glossy and is deeper than the Zaino. Also even before the snow hit and the car was slightly dirty - it still looked clean. Heather has said this to be true, but now I've seen it with my own eyes.
No offense, man, but I think you MAY have used a bit too much product... How many coats did you USE?
Keep us posted! And as always, please let me know if you have any questions. You can always post a question or just PM or email me directly.

How's this for an idea - an engine damper made entirely of Monster Fluffy? It would be like floating your engine on a cloud.
Sorry ImagoX... family secret. We just like see your satisfaction grow and grow instead of all at once. It's like an epic tale...
I too am excited to see how it does for you during your Ohio winter. We have a tester in northern New York, so the results should be fairly similar to Ohio results. I think you'll be impressed.

I am happy with the Epic, just wish there was not an issue with the trim. The Zaino was nice in that respect. I was even just going over the whole trim with Zaino. With Epic though there is the need to tape off.

that's true about the trims. perhaps you can get your arches painted
in the future?
I used Epic on my Civic where there's really noblack trim other than the front license plate holder and the plastic
under the winshield so it wasn't a big deal for that car... have you
tried Epic on your wheels? talk about WOW!
19x10" SSR GT3's with polished 3" lips gleaming from your garage.
oh wait, now im just braggin'.
19"?

If I painted my trim it would have to be black - I kind of like that contrast thing going on. Maybe I'll get a whole new set of trim pieces and just swap them out when they get dirty. Then I can clean the other set while watching TV.
