Now you just need to get some wash soap, mitts, brushes, microfiber towels, polish, sealant, wax, wheel cleaner, tire cleaner, bug remover, glass cleaner, metal polish, plastic polish...

Just wait till this weekend! I'll have to post pics after I get all my new stuff in. I'm not fortunate enough to have a garage. My solution is those plastic office milk crates for my detailing stuff. I think I'm going to have to pick up another one after my purchase yesterday.

And you're exactly right...worse than crack!

A freshly detailed Mini and a cold beer might do the trick!

There's experimental treatments for this but they involve amputations!

I just spent another $30 yesterday on some microfiber towels, finishing cloths, ICE, and Meguiars Quik Detailing Spray, I've never spent so much on car care supplies! I'm addicted!

I agree... that or US-made, 100% cotton WHITE bath towels that you cna cut down (that's what Zaino recommends, anyway). Given how stiff and nasty-feeling some of my microfiber cloths are getting after a few washings (whereas towels just get softer and softer) I think I'll go that way from here on in. I've seen plain ol' bath sheets meeting those specifications for as little as $5 or $6, which I can then cut down into like 4 or 6 smaller peices, perfect for detailing. White shows the grime better and tells you when to wash them, plus there's no dye to interact with your detailing chemicals. If you go the towel route, just trim away the selveges (the finished edges) and avoid the towels with the acryllic "stripe" enbroidered in them, as the artificial fabric can scratch I hear.
