you all are inspiring me to clean up my garage tonight. i have to admit, i agree that a large shopvac is a paint in the butt sometimes.

Gotta love Sears for certain things.

I think for just doing your car and some spot cleaning inside the
house, the 2gal will do fine, but i prefer 5-6 gallons just in case
i need the extra capacity to do larger cleaning like leaves and
stuff. plus with the adapter i got last night, i can use the 1-1/4"
hose and its accessories too.

It's just a pain to lug it outside.
dang, plus the Dyson never looses suction... im thinking about
getting one of those in the future for the house, but as you, i got like
2 almost brand new uprights (gift) and high capacity vacs (basement)
along with a normal capacity vac (house) along with dust broom vac,
etc... had all vac except a shop vac. the Craftsman shop vacuum is
the quietest of them all.

She looks great! Hell, so does the rest of the garage.

Talk about a detailing cart too.

yep, that's my Griot's detailing cart... that's got
over $1k of stuff i bought last month on it from
orbital to polishes, waxes, pads, MF towels, other
gadgets.

For the shop vaccum (Craftsman), i got yesterday (~$20):
1. 2-1/2" to 1-1/4" adapter.
2. 1-1/4" long nose vertical nozzle (for between seats)
3. 2-1/2" long nose horizontal opening nozzle (for floor, garage spot clean)

Craftsman also has a car vac adapter kit with 1-1/4 adapters and hose too.

I think I am with you on the 1k, its addictive stuff. But I am very pleased with how the car looks.

I may have to look at that attachment stuff. I had been thinking about the Griots Vac with all those attachments. I could never justify the cost though.

you know, i was looking at that Griots vac too... but just over my
budget for a shopvac when i know 6gal/3hp will do the trick for me.
maybe in the future when the Craftsman one dies or something..

here's pict of the garage queens. my G35C's kinda too big to
fit in one pict... (my garage too small) lol...

notice how i use max space between the studs to hang my
tools.

that's a good idea, especially changing between like vacuuming
saw dust/small particles to regular dust in garage/car.

i haven't bought the bags because i am sure, on occasion,
i will need to suck up a little bit of water inside the garage
after i wash the floor after detailing...

Some hand polish and MINI polish and wax pads. I am going to use this to touch up the paint on my sisters CRV that she is selling. I figure I can use them later when if i get the MINI polisher.

I also got 35 oz of undercharage spray to replace what I used on the jeep. I also got my free 8oz of speed shine. I think thats going in the GFs car. Even her car has the griots treatment.

nice coverup! jk you almost sound like me when im
buying detailing stuff... yep, it's for the WIFE's car sure sure...
wink wink. i hear the undercarriage spray can make the
garage floor REALLY slippery if your floor is painted, so might
want to put some newspapers or something before you go
at it.

Do you bring a laptop into the garage? I think you need a leather wing chair in there, too!

yah, we're running WiFi in the house so sometimes i take the
notebook into the garage. i got limited space so
it's kind of hard to keep the functionality of the garage
while making it a playroom... but i might be able to wing it!

Just to follow up on the Craftsman shop vacuum... i vac'ed my
commuters yesterday using the 2-1/2 horizontal type nozzle and
it worked great. no need for the 1-1/4 vertible nozzle on my
cars as the horizontal is thin enough to fit between the seats
and also suction is so great that it just sucks up pebbles and
misc from the floor even 2-3 inches away.

Hey...I have that one but....

Hey...I have that one but....mine says Craftsman and is Red!...wonder why!

It is a good Vac and handy too...I just will not do Business with HD so I got it from Sears!

The long detachable hose makes it very convenient as well as the wall mounting, and the exhaust filter is great too!!! When it really gets nasty (3 car garage...I pull the autos out and use the compressor first!
