Undetailing
I took Blooper in for his 10k oil change this week. I'd done a 4-hour session the night before: exterior wash, Z-6, wheels, plastic treatment, glass, and interior mats, vacuum and glass.
I put a large "do not wash" post-it on the speedo, and the SA put "CUST REQ DO NOT WASH" in 2" high letters on the service order, so of course they washed it. Back it came with dirty wash water dripping out every orifice. Luckily the "detailers" didn't wipe it down with their rags and luckily I had a small detailing microfiber in the glove box, but what were they thinking? Did it look like the soccer mom's X5's? Did I miss a french fry somewhere? (NO one has every eaten in my car, spouse included.)
I'm not ticked as it doesn't look like it got scratched up, but what do you do to keep your dealer from washing? Next time I think I'll lay in ambush outside the entrance to the wash...

Mine's going in for its first service II this weekend.
I always ask them not to wash it, and 75% of the time it comes back washed.
One time I gave it to them very dirty and as a result I had a ton of fine scratches.
So your best bet, and what I'll be doing for this weekend: wash it before you bring it in.
So in case they really feel like doing it again and ignoring your request, at least there will be no dirt on there to get rubbed into your paint.

I have a sign, printed both sides, in English and Spanish, laminated, saying do not wash! One hangs from the rear view and one goes under the passenger side wiper. They laugh at me, but don't wash it!
