A good tip to remove wax on plastic trims?
Great stuff. I used it to remove most of the cosmoline drip on the front trim. If it can take that stuff off, I'm sure it will take off wax residue. I also didn't use a toothbrush. I'm sure if I had worked it in, more of it would have come off.
I tried the mr clean magic eraser. Almost freaked out because I saw the plastic turned white where I rubbed. Turns out that it was from the sponge and easily wiped/washed away. It does an okay job. Not paint safe!
I've tried PB, Mr. Clean eraser, Simple Green, rubbing alcohol, and elbow grease. All those in combination had reasonably good results. Black WOW held up pretty good, but eventually some white spots returned.
Hmm, I'm tempted to experiment with a clean cotton cloth and a warm iron.
Boy, that would sound weird out of the context of this thread, wouldn't it?

What an old thread resurrected..... if white spots are returning after using BW, then you didn't use it properly...i.e. you didn't remove the spots, you just masked them. Try a slightly abrasive applicator like a shop rag or the sewn edge of a MF Skinny applicator with some BW. Makes a huge difference.

Peanut oil... Hmmmm... Explains why I've never heard squeaky peanuts....
I've used Black Wow & it works great! BTW, neither Banana Gas, er.... Gloss, nor Hydro leave residue on the trim. Their appearances are somehat different, though.
