Leather

I just purchased a 2006 MCS and it has English Leather interior. I want to make sure I take good care of the leather. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to clean, condition, etc. the leather? How often should it be done? Is there any way to prevent the marks/creases in the leather where you sit? What products are the best. I have been reading alot about Zaino. Is this the best? Where do you get it? Thanks for the suggestions!

I found the zaino website (zainostore.com). Is this the best stuff? Thanks again!

There are several good leather care products. I like the stuff that Zaino sells... mostly for the beautiful smell that the Zaino conditioner leaves behind. I also use the Zaino leather cleaner as sparingly as possible. I usually try cleaning with a very slightly damp (just water) microfiber first if there is anything on the seats.

I've got the Cordoba beige leather and it's very thirsty. I'm treating the front seats every month or so right now, but I hope to back that off to every 2 or 3 months once they have the chance to absorb a bit of oil. They seem very dry and papery right now, but they are getting better.

Every 2-3 months would be a pretty good interval for treatment. Do it more frequently if you live in more extreme conditions (high heat and UV, especially).

I haven't used it, but Lexol is supposed to have a good leather treatment. Another one I heard good things about is "Hyde Food" (sp)

I use Zaino leather care products, too.

In my cabinet I also have Mothers (good), Eagle One (good), Zymol (ok), Lexol (good, a bit labor intensive), Leatherique good, Coach (nice smell also) and others.
