By spats, I assume you mean the black fender/wheel surrounds and lower trim.

First, remember that the proper way to use any dressing is to let it saturate a minute or two then wipe off the excess with a towel. I use cheap 100% white cotton hand towels for this.

For the Mini I have been using two different things that I like equally well. I like Mothers Protectant. It has a great medium gloss. And I have been using the new Sonus Eclipse for the past month or two. It does just what you have been asking for...is especially NOT sticky and doesn't attract dirt.

Apply them with the Eagle One Tire Swipes. They are the perfect curved shape for the fender trim. (as well as tires).

Hmmm,

I just use a couple of old t-shirts and some of this:

lots of elbow grease and I do get mighty fine results.

Tire Cleaner

I didn't see any suggestions for a tire cleaner. I've used Tire Brite for years and have read recently the bleach in this spray will dry the tires out. Any suggestions for sprays you have used and will not dry out or otherwise abuse the tires?

Tire Cleaner

I use the Griot's Rubber cleaner and am very happy with the results.
