Can I scotchguard r56 alcantara recaro seats?

Wife just picked up a super clean/low mileage 12’ cooper and it has the factory recaro... she’s not usually the cleanest person (coffee, etc) and I just want to make sure we can protect them from her properly 😂

Most people say you can as long as you clean them first.

Lost of people use this to clean them and if they have the steering wheel in alcantara
