I was curious how everyone cleans the chrome trim on the MINI. Is there any specific cleaner that anyone can recommend? I also wanna know if anyone waxes the front and rear bumpers and the roof with the same wax they use for the main body. I currently use a black Zymol wax, but I was wondering if the color of the wax can mess up the white roof and plastic bumpers?

If you want a great all-around polish, use Meguair's #6, it works on everything, including the glass and chrome, while removing scratches. Follow that up with a yellow caranuba wax, then rejuvinate your fenders and tires with Armor All. This is the easy way to do it. I detail cars everyday as part of my job (currently a 1914 Pugeout worth over a half million dollars), so I know what to and what not to use.

Be very careful regarding how hard or long you polish the chrome. Remember that most of it is chrome plate on plastic.

I polish the chrome using glyptone wax. Works well.
