Question:
Will I need to remove the scoop to get the decal off? Or will there be material left you can see?

Mine has the stripes but on inside the scoop. I assume it must have been replaced. But the stripes go under the scoop and trip around the grille.

 

You shouldn't have to remove the scoop to get that vinyl off

Got them off. Looks much better!

 

Post up a pic, also make use you use a little cleaner wax or rubbing compound/ buff to get the ghosting marks from the stripes out. I had my stripes on my R52 for a very long time and after I removed them the paint underneath looked brand new compared to other places.
