NXT Generation Tech Wax and swirls
NXT Generation Tech Wax and swirls
I was looking at a bottle of this stuff at the auto parts store today and it claims to have been specially designed fill in swirl marks (...among other things). Anybody have thoughts/experience on this?? I've always heard that most products (even Zaino) are limited in their ability to hide swirls. If the claims are true, that's super....but I'm a little skeptical for now since its a relatively new product.
Aint marketing great!
NXT has some fillers in it to help temporarily disquise very light swirls. This will quickly, very quickly, start to dissipate and you will start to see them re-appear. Other products making similar claims offer the same temporary results. Some do it better and some do it worse.
Zaino Z5 has fillers as well and it also has very limited benefit in hiding swirls. It lasts longer because it is a better quality polymer, but still, it is not a cure.
The real way to handle swirls is to remove them. Proper prep is the key to a beautiful paint finish.

I've found the Zaino Z5 is only good for filling hairlines. Anything deeper takes a million coats
I'm not a fan of using NXT for filler; it tends to show the scratch/rock chip in WHITE
