MINI brand tire cleaner works great!
MINI brand Tire/Wheel cleaner works great!
A few weeks ago, I bought a 32 Fl. Oz. bottle of MINI brand "Wheel Cleaner" from my dealership for about $7 bucks. My 16" Silver V-Spokes had caked in brake dust and dirt, so before buying an aftermarket tire cleaner product I decided to give the MINI branded cleaner a shot. Boy, I was not dissapointed! The cleaner managed to get out some really nasty brake dust embedded in the surface of my wheels while leaving them sparkly clean and smooth to the touch. Finally, my wheels look "new" again!.
Pretty straightforward instructions....
1) Wet wheel and tire throroughly with water.
2)Adjust nozzle and spray liberally cleaner to wheel and tire
3) Wait 15-20 seconds for solution to penetrate
4) use soft sponge or towel to aid in removing dirt deposits
5) Rinse wheel completely with water spray from hose
6) Repeat steps as necessary.
Follow the instructions and you'll have very clean wheels again. Must work wonders on white wheels too.
For $7, I think it is a pretty good and reasonably priced MINI product. I am also using MINI brand Carnauba waxes, interior cleaners and all these products work fantastic for very little money.
Maybe I am easily impressed, but just wanted to pass it along in case you wonder if the MINI stuff at the dealer is worth the time and money....I think it is.
