How soon to safely polish/wax?

In the past I've heard that it's wise to wait a certain amount of time before polishing/waxing a new car so that the paint has time to cure. How long does one need to wait before treating the MINI? I'm still undecided as to whether I will go the traditional wax route or try one of the acrylic treatments like Klasse.

This is an eternal arugument, but I have been told by detailers that modern paint finishes are cured in the factory and can be waxed right away. My dealer waxed my car an put the Invisishield on the new paint with no problem.

I used Klasse on it a couple weeks after purchase and I love it.
