Black Fire

Greetings All,

I am awaiting my 2013 Mini Countryman in Cosmic blue. I am not a detailing freak, but I want my car looking good. Over the years I have used many different waxes on my cars. Mothers California Gold on my 87 CRX, Zymol on my 05 Beetle Convertible and countless others. I have a buddy with an old time hot rod who swears by Zaino. I recently saw a deep blue Maserati with a shine that looked soooo wet, I had to ask. Black Fire Wet Ice over Fire. He said it looks especially good on dark colors. Anyone use this? It's certainly not cheap, $120 for the kit, but it looked incredible.

I've tried it before. It is a great kit and fairly easy to use but very expensive. There are other products out there that can achieve the same results but with less cost. It's really all in your prep work, and really making sure you do a good job with your polishing. The wet ice over fire kit seems to use a sealant/wax combo with a ton of polishing oils which makes the paint look wet. I've now learned that with meguiars m105 and m205 plus meguiars show car glaze, poor boy's black hole, or prima amigo and a decent wax, you can get the same result for less than half that price.

I've used it and swear by it. The sealant is what makes it looks wet (Blackfire Wet Diamond). You can buy the sealant and than top it with a nice wax.

Problem is, is that I heard they wern't making it anymore, or changed the brand. It was hard to find at the end of last summer.

Looks like a couple places still have some, but price has gone up from the 24.00 it use to be

They were bought by Palm Beach Motoring Group which own Pinnacle, Wolgang, Detailers Pro and now Blackfire. They re-badged all the products but you can find them on a few of their websites like autogeek.net or autopia-carcare.com.

I just bought some Blackfire Wet Diamond. Ive been using Menzerna Powerlock for the last few years and am anxious to see how the Blackfire compares to the Menzerna.
