Brown oils or grease coming from doors and hood

The bottoms of my doors have a thick brown oil coming from the bottom or the door. Same with the edges of the hood. Is that out in the panels. For rust prevention and what is it. What's the best way to clean it?

Bet it is cosmoline mixed with dirt/dust.
Many threads on it.
Bmw mini coats their cars with this wax like stuff for shipping....
It is the washed off in kinda like a very hot carwash, and the collected cosomoline is used to heat the water for the next car....no waste like other builders who use plastic wrap.
It does stain plasic overtime, but the stuff is kinda like a think anti rust stuff we spray in hard to access areas in airplanes to control corossion.....
So use the tricks to wipe it off from the other threads, and don't stress it!!

Bring it to your dealer, they should be able to take care of it under warranty.

When the car arrives at the port, they are supposed to steam clean it off, but some stays behind inevitably in the areas where you are now seeing it run down from. It's tough to clean off and can leave streaks even after washing that won't go away. Prima Car Care makes a product called CosmoNot that removes this as well. Octaneguy (Richard) and Phil both sell these products through their sites showcarsupplies.com and detailersdomain.com, respectively.

If either of them weigh in they can probably give you a great amount of info on this. Octaneguy is especially good with Prima products, so search for some of his posts as they have a wealth of amazing info.
