Interior color line trim scratched

Does anyone know if the interior color line trim (Chili Red in my case) is painted or is it molded in color? It got scratched by my local shop recently and I'm trying to find out if I can polish it out a bit or if it needs to be filled and repainted. (I can't prove the shop did it because I didn't notice it until the next day, but I know that I didn't do it).

I have Fluid Silver Colorline, it is also scratched, I've just learned to live with it, did have dealer damage one section and they replaced it. Chilli Red would be much more noticable for sure.
Real OEM has a schematic and pricing...(my 2008)
