Smeary paint and tree sap
Smeary paint and tree sap
Today I washed my car with Duragloss car wash, then quik detailed it with Meguiars then I polished with Duragloss cleaner polisher. It looked great. I pulled out in to the sun and had two problems...
1)She looks very smeary and no matter how many times I go over it with a polishing cloth, she is still smeary and,
2)I was parked under a tree and she has more tree sap on her than ever.
Any suggestions on how to remedy either or both of those. Thanks.
Ive been a bit obsessed with keeping her clean since I bought her. 4 weeks and 4 washes and countless other mini cleanings...

Not familiar with duragloss so can't advise there. You could use Dawn detergent as a wash which will remove just about anything from a car's finish without hurting it. Just don't make a habat of it. Then go back with a good carnuba wax. Otherwise I'd would suggest contacting octaneguy by pm and see what he suggests. He is very knowledgable about all that. Tree sap is nasty stuff with all kinds of biologic mixtures, as bad as left over bug jerkey and bird poop. In fact I'd be surprised if he doesn't chime in on this thread.
