Help--I'm loosing my Dark Silver color!
LOL!
Well, what is your definition of easy? Low maintenance? Maximum protection? These fit the bill. The most durable waxes are Zaino and Klasse. I like both systems a lot.
With each system you should get a shampoo and quick detailer. Zaino makes their own and I recommend staying within the Zaino system all the way. It's all excellent stuff. For Klasse, I suggest Sonus quick detailer and Sonus shampoo.
NXT is ok, but IMO, over-hyped and over-rated. It's packed with silicone and fillers so it looks great going on but one rainstorm or a couple washes later and most of the effect is gone. The protection is minimal and degrades rapidly.
Zymol is a marketing wonder. But the waxes are very low durability carnaubas. Lots of oils and silicones with fillers.
One of the more durable and nicest carnaubas is P21S. Adds great depth to colors, won't stain trim.

Thanks BradB for all of your detailing knowledge. I think I'm going to go with a Zaino system, and as Agranger recommended, apply an ocassional coat of P21S.
Do you guys have any input on keeping my "lid" (as the fiance refers to the cabrio top) in tip top condition?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

Yes, I like two in particular. I like Porsche lid, er, I mean convertible top protectant. Available at any dealer, but luckily not Porsche priced-amazingly. And RaggTopp protectant. Both of these have good controllable spray patterns and no dripping or overspray. Also can't see where you have sprayed, even if you use have a light colored top. An application lasts a long time as well. Can't say that with a lot of brands. Both brands have cleaners as well.
I have probably 5-6 brands and like these the best.
Even though the car is new I think it's a good idea to spray the top with an application of protectant now when it's new and perfectly clean to start off with.
Maintain the top with each wash. Use a regular car shampoo. If you choose Zaino that is perfect. Use a sponge to dab it on and then simply rinse (well) off with water. Dry the top with an Absorber synthetic chamois. This will not leave lint.
Not a bad idea to keep a small bottle of glass cleaner or water in the car in case of bird bombs while out driving or parked. You want do get those off ASAP. They can stain if let go too long. Then when you get home apply the fabric cleaner from above.
The new tops are pretty durable overall, however. Not too much to worry about. Enjoy the lid!

unless your paint is a mess, avoid polmers with abrasives in them, like nu finish.

But also it's a little deceiving for a manufacturer to claim that it's a "pure" polymer. Almost all have oils and/or solvents in them. And most have mechanical abrasives in them. NXT, for instance, has all of the above.
