Trying to gather as much info before i get into my first detail ..

For those that have detailed Cooper S engines, i understand that the air box and alternator need to be covered. What of the supercharger intercooler specifically? Is that safe to spray water on? Any negative issues?

Where is the ECU located?

 

The ECU is in a black box at the driver side of the engine compartment. It has a lid and is near the fuse box. When you are spraying in the engine bay, make sure the engine is cool and use low water pressure. You don't have to worry about the intercooler..that's like asking if you should get the radiator wet or not when washing the car.
