Road Debris

I have a 2011 MCS Conv with twin spoke rims and 16in RFT. I am constantly getting black flecks all over the side of my car as well as what looks like oil spots on the black trim that lines the bottom edge of the car...I also have a 2009 clubman with standard 5 spoke rims that never has this problem! What is causing this? It is driving me crazy, I am constantly trying having to wipe down the car and the trim takes forever to get clean. Anyone have any answers? I had front and rear mud flaps installed a few weeks ago hoping this would stop the problem, they do look great, but problem has not changed...

I can't speak in regards to the road debris, but the oily residue you're referring to... do you think it could be leaking cosmoline?

Thanks for the tip about the cosmoline...i had never heard of that before, but I followed the link and read the tips. I was using a tire shine, but didnt use it the last time I washed thinking that might be the problem...it wasn't, but maybe I am on the right track to get this resolved...Thanks
