OK necessary reminder to SEARCH the forums. This is a great Detailing forum on here that has answers to all of these questions. Lucky for you there are as many answers as there are questions.

Here is my take on this, and this is just my opinion. I'm sure that someone else will say something different (and probably better)

Wax stripes: Yes its OK but you have to be careful to clean out the seam between the stripe and the paint.

Wax "Stoneguard" (assuming that is clear bra): I don't think that waxing this is recommended but I think that it might depend on the wax.

Clean Windows: I like Prima Clarity and a window Microfiber cloth. Others swear by stoner's.

Best way to clean alloy rims: If you can put on wheel wax before they get too dirty. I, personally, use the last of my wash bucket water with a specific wheel-only rag and soft wheel brush. I recommend removing them from the car to get them really clean.

Clean Chrome: I assume exterior. I just wash it with Prima Mystique and it comes out nicely. Maybe someone will recommend some other chrome cleaner.

Clean Trim: Black Wow is a good cleaner / treatment. Check the detailing forum for this.

Clean engine: I vote stay away if you don't know what you are doing. I just get in there with a microfiber (a crappy one) and some quick detail spray for the surface areas. Again, check the detailing forums for more ideas on this one.

Yeah, Smiley - js gave you some good starting points. I know it's a pain to do a million searches, but it's worth it. I actually grabbed a notebook and took notes on different cleaners. And you will see that different people agree/disagree on certain products.
