brake dust

i own an '09 pepper white "justa" cooper. i wash it every week, i wax it every month, but it seems like after evry trip to work and back, i have to wash my rims.(stock 6 spoke silver)

is there a dust cover or what, i just want something so i only have to clean the wheels on Saturday when i was the rest of the car.

is it just the oem pads? could i change them out and stop the dust?

or am i doomed to an eternity of polishing my rims?

OEM pads are dusty. Get yourself some Carbotec Bobcats. They are are a little pricey, but well worth it. Very low dust, great stopping power with good moulation.

I second Paleo's recommendation. In fact, I replaced the OEM pads with CarboTech Bobcats, 1521 soon after I purchased my 2009 Clubman. One other tip...when you have the wheels off to change the pads, wash and clean the interior of the wheels, dry and then apply Rain X on the interior surface. I think you find that, coupled with less dust with the CTs', you can keep the interior surface cleaner in a much easier fashion.
