Charlie gets a detail

How to fit a 3 car garage into a closet.

The cart is ready to roll.

My work space.

All lit up and ready to work.

Lot's of damage (compliments of a full service car wash).

50/50 shot. Two passes with Menernza SIP and a Flex

50/50 after menernza final polish.

Completed door without wax.

Half way through.

Time for some DoJo.

Bringing back the finish on the plastic with HD.

Charlie's salute to my son Alec. Semper Fi

After

All of the work was done using a Flex orbital and a Griots 3 inch orbital (for the tight spots). I used Lakes orange foam with SIP for the first few passes and then moved to SIP with a white pad. I finished with FP and a black pad. Enjoy!

A peek at Charlie's older brother.

Good job

I am getting ready to detail my two coopers in the next week. What do you use? I will be using a clay bar (not sure which company to go with - any ideas?) and have been looking at Image 10 (http://www.image10finish.com/) or Zymol (http://www.zymol.com/complete.aspx)

Anyone with detail experience or a shop PLEASE chime in...I don't mind spending a few dollars on wax and what-not (buffers, etc), as long as I get that back in protection. I live in AZ and the sun can get grueling.

Thanks.

I generally shop at autogeek. This package http://www.autogeek.net/menzerna-por...mum-shine.html would be my first choice for a newbie.

I have never used zymol, but have heard good things about it.

You may want to spend some time over at Autopia reading up on buffers and waxes. If you think we obsess over intakes you will be alarmed at the number of threads on wax.
