The best car covers?
The best car covers?
I am in need of feedback, folks. I need to get a cover for my R56, since it must live outdoors. I have a covered carport, but thanks to the cats that my wife refuses to let me exile, I have to keep it covered too, else I will have a thousand dirty cat prints and scratches on the car.
I bought a generic cover the day I brought it home, but the fit is less than perfect and it is relatively thin. Anyone have experience with covers, good or bad? Any heat issues to address with a cover too? Preferred brands, materials?
Anyone have a barn that needs some cats?

Fabric is what makes the cover because most fitted covers from good companies are very similar.
CoverKing, Wolf and I think even Moss have good covers. They are not the only ones but just the ones I know are good.
For fabric get at least Noah which a thicker fabric. Noah is good but does not repel heavy water. It is good and a little less expensive.
The best two fabrics are StormProof and WeatherShield. Both are thin and neither are cheep but they are well worth it. I have a Noah cover for my MINI and a WeatherShield for my Miata.
I like the WeatherShield much better. It is light and seems like it could not do what it does, but it repels water like it is plastic and breaths so water is not trapped. I have left the Miata out with the cover on in rain storms and there is little or no water on the paint. The rain just repels, better than plastic.
Just be careful of putting it on with a hot exhaust, the hot pipe will melt the fabric.
