Ok, fess up!
How many of you are watching Modern Marvels right now?
They are doing car washes and showing how wax is made and.... *passes out in bliss*
Are you still here? Go watch the show!

I swear, I could spend the rest of my life watching How it's made, How stuff works and Modern Marvels... I sat here last night watching a How It's Made re-run of how they make aluminum pots. Yes, I'm a nerd, dammit!
Caught most of the program...cool and informative. Modern Marvels is one of my favorites.
I was watching it last night for about 20 minutes.
I had to turn it off cause it was distracting me from studying for my finals.
and by distracting i mean i decided it was a good time to take a 20 minute break

Your discipline is commendable.
I watched it the other night.. I was APPALLED!
The "detailing" job the guy from Mother's did was an amateur. I'm not an expert by any means, but why risk the finish of that Porsche? Why throw eggs and dirt on it? The paint was definitely damaged to some extent, even with the force of throwing the egg/dirt on it!
Not to mention his use of the "Power ball" as a means of polishing... c'mon, what about talking about how different kinds of pads do different jobs? How different polishes work in different ways? I realize Mother's had to be paying a hefty sum for the amount of product placement in it, but it was kind of sad!
Not to mention the videos showing the guy using a tiny dish washing sponge to wash his car...
AWFUL!
For what it's worth though, I was glad someone put it out there just how clay bars work! Maybe next time I do a detail for someone and describe "clay-barring", they won't look at me like I'm insane!
