p.c. buffer
p.c. buffer
I am considering purchasing a pc buffer. I have a couple questions about it:
1) I have never used one, is it something I can easily learn?
2) Is there a noticeable difference between the PC and hand?
3) I am concerned I am going to harm my paint, is that fear justified?
Thanks for you advice

1). Very easy to learn.
2). Faster, easier and better results with the machine
3). Pretty tough to screw up your paint. You'd have to leave the machine on the paint and go make a sandwich, drink a beer and take a nap before you'd screw things up badly.
4). Go see Richard for your stuff / tips. Attend one of his free classes.

1) yes, very easy especially if you use the Griot's system.
2) yes, much faster work and less pain.
3) yes, you can damage the paint if you use a contaminated pad...say
you accidentally dropped the pad but you still use it to polish. the grit
will scratch the paint very quickly. just be sure you use a milder polish
and med density foam to practice your speeds and pressure and keep
the pads clean.
if you get the griot's you only need to think aboutorange pad for polishing, red pad for waxing. they also have a quick
DVD to watch.

With a name like yours, are you a member of West Coast Mini's in San Diego? They've attended my classes already. My shop is a relatively short drive north of you. I can do a LOT better in showing you how to use the PC than anything from Griots including their DVD, lol. Or you could watch my DVD which in 2.5hrs covers everything you need to know about polishing paint from taping to buffing to choosing waxes and polishes.
