is it bad if i use my pressure washer?
No.
You are okay.
If you start seeing your paint come off, then you have a problem.
I've used my gas powered pressure machine with no problems.
I actually prefer to use it over the hose for the wheels and wheel wells.

As long as you adjust the washer to provide a fan-shaped spray rather than the sharp pencil spray, and keep about a foot away from finishes, you should be fine. Avoid spraying in areas that have been chipped, since the spray can get under the clearcoat or paint and spread the damage in some cases. Avoid spraying directly at electrical connections and devices when cleaning under the hood. Directing the spray downwards where the window moldings meet the glass can help rinse out the large amounts of dirt that collect under these moldings. In fact, it's worth it to occasionally pull off the beltline moldings in order to clean the crud that collects there. Using a pressure washer helps a lot here, follow up with a brush and soap, then rinsing, alowwing to dry before replacing the moldings. The same is true for the wheel opening moldings, it gets nasty under there!
Not to hijack the thread, but any advice regarding the pressure washer and a newly installed clear bra? I would guess try not to get under the edges, but should I wait a certain amount of time before washing the car?
