Tire Dressing
I really like Griot's Garage "Vinyl/Rubber Dressing" for the tires. It gives a rich matte/semi-gloss finish and lasts a long time. Also, if you don't already have an interior vinyl/rubber dressing that you love, the Griot's is good for that, too.
When I used Nero on the outside of the car, I found that it wasn't very durable on the black plastic trim, and when I used it on the tires, it didn't look like I had put anything on the tires at all - they still looked bone-dry. I do like Nero for the interior, though, so I've settled on using the Griot's for the tires, Black Wow for the trim, and Nero for the interior (so much for trying to *reduce* the total number of products I'm using...

I got the Meguiar's gel-style grape-smelling Gold-Class-something-or-other from Wal-Mart on clearance. I saw now at Wal Mart they have a similar product (same gel style and container), but it's clear, instead of purple.
I assume they discontinued it, or changed it to this new clear style.

.anyhow it WAS called endurance. when i run out of it, i'll see what the new stuff is all about. still have 3/4 of a bottle left and i bought it more than a few months ago. really good stuff!
Thanks for all the replys. I was at MOTD on Saturday and picked up some Nero and 303 Aerospace. I tried the 303 on the tires yesterday and it looks real good. Once I use up some of the 303, I may give the Meguiar's stuff a try.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
I started using the Aero 303 a few weeks ago, and the only knock is that it doesn't last too long. It's not a problem for me though, as I wash the car once a week anyway, and it only takes a couple minutes to re-apply it to the tires.
Zaino Perfect Tire Gloss leaves a very nice satin glow to the tires. I've been using it for years in the Puget Sound and with the rain we get here, I'm really impressed. It also has a good anti-static property that keeps brake dust down as well as pollen and grit.
Same here. I don't like super shiny tires and Griots product just keeps them looking black like a new tire does.
I use the Meg's endurance purple cream on the Mini, but my HB has a 4x4 and shine is no-no. On that I use good old Armor all on his big tires and the wheelwells get sprayed with slightly watered down Armor all. Nice and black and pretty cheap.
Just take them to a paint and body shop and have them clear coated with auto clear! thats what i did! traction isnt to great but man are they shiny!!!
Ok so not really.. I just the armoral tire shine stuff and it works fine for me. and it doesn't throw off.. so far..

i hate meg' endurace grape jelly crap. it doesn't spread well and if you
rush it, it flings on the panels. their instane shine is much better cause
it's thin like water. just use very little amounts. nice and rich with slight
gloss. if you want "insane shine," just apply more product.
it lasts
through rain.
i have a lot of that Griot's rubber/vinyl. will use that later on.
