I've got a couple of pretty good scratches along the top of my PS/B MINI's back bumper- picked them up while loading music gear in and out. The touch up paint doesn't help- I've got one of the AutoVisual pens and it's for metal. I've tried a couple of other products for scratches as well and again, they don't seem to work on the non-metal surface. Anyone have experience touching up the vinyl surface back there?

If the autosharp pens of the MINI paint sticks will not yield good results, I think you should consider having the rear bumper repainted. Often, a body shop will do a very good job in restoring your bumper to a like new condition for $100 to $200.

If you insist in touching up the scratches with the autosharp pen or the MINI paint sticks, then there is a product called Langka (www.langka.com) that helps remove the paint "blobs" so often associated with paint touch up jobs.

But if you want it perfect or near perfect, then a visit to the body shop will be your best bet.

Does the dealer carry the MINI paint sticks (have never heard of these)? How do they work? I have one scratch in the rear bumper of my 3-month MCS from loading a bicycle and one of the pedals lightly rubbed a single mark.
