Dear Dreariest Day In Seattle,
Dreary Day Detailing Question
Worked 5, 12.5 hour days this week and just finished a Saturday, seven hour CPR training. What's the most nurturing thing I can think of doing on my first moment off, on this very darkest of rainy days? Wash the MINI! We are happy now!
Question? After washng, drying, Hydro-ing, (Epic went on last week), there are still those tiny, peices of grime, asphalt, or tar stuck to the lower side panels, and doors. (It's Pepper White, of course, so I can see each one). I have been using a fluffy and Slick and rubbing them off, but I really have to rub. Will this hurt? Any better ideas?

I get these too (also PW). I just use a little more elbow grease to get them off in the wash, now that I know they're always there, but slick and a monster fluffy should be okay too. Next time look for them while you wash, it might make it easier!
On those specs, I would use either Goof Off or Goo Gone, believe it or not! These solvents are often the only way to get such specs off without really rubbing. I would avoid the rubbing to lower your scratch risk.
You can also try claying the spots, but most likely one of the above household products will remove them.
NOTE that you will have to re-wax any area on which you use the Goof Off or Goo Gone. How
Good luck!
