Hahah, ooooh yeah. Wait, I can reintrepret that...
25,000 / 4 years = 6250 miles a year---I must have been thinking 3,000 miles a year, lol.
Hahah. Yes your car does look great nonetheless.

Uh oh, I see this turning into a match of who has more miles in 13 months---I put 28K in 11 months... and the paint really shows it!!! Dang rock chips! But orange peel free!!!
Here's to actually DRIVING a car... instead of just wiping off your own drool repeatedly with a microfiber...
But as ken and I have agreed before - we just play the game differently. It's all good.
I'm virtually chip-free - yay for xpel.
Only a few tiny little chips on the edge of the bonnet and the edges of the headlights where the xpel doesn't cover - and they touch up easily and invisibly.

If I lived up there, I'd probably own commuters and do the same thing...
Wasn't this thread about headlight haze at one point??
I actually think going off the original topic makes this forum so fun and conversational.
(I just hope the choppiness of the threads can be endured by newcomers!) It wouldn't be any fun if it was all business around here!
Anyway, just wanted to add that I also think that different headlight covers must be made from various types of materials. Some seem to scratch/haze like crazy while others do not. I haven't noticed many MINIs with extreme hazing though.

. But it would drive the mod forum regulars nuts

They need to lighten up some

Must be the drugs Nick and Heather put in the Prima.
I have had headlight protective film since the car was pretty much new. No haze, but I try to wash and wax every week, weather permitting.
btw, I have about 37k in 5 years, so that's about 7,400 miles a year average. But untill two years ago, my car had 11k miles on it. So that's what, about 3666 miles each year in the first three years, then 13k miles each year after? I didn't keep records of it, something I regret.

Tru Dat. All they can do over there is kick the crap outta each other and then kvetch about "What's Wrong with NAM" while all of us OCD and semi-OCD types (who one might think would be the tightly wound types) are whistling blissfully along in our own little universe of detailing goodness. And we kick ken once in a while. But he likes it.

What kind of shine is offered by this treatment? Can I expect a product called Ken's Drool from DP soon? This would be great since my name is also Ken. :D

Shines up great, but lasts about 3 seconds

More if you swish with Hydro first!
(Swish sounds like it should be the name of a future DP product.)

My daughters 2001 Intrepid had a haze like you read about. I used WD-40 and some elbow grease to clean them off. It also works well for removing tar etc from road trips. I did the drivers side first then the passenger side with a picture in between. They say the two most important tools are WD-40 and duct tape. If it sticks and it's not suppose to use the WD-40; If it moves and it's not suppose to use the Duct Tape..
