San Diego tinting help

Just wanted to see if anyone knows of a good place to get the mini tinted down in San Diego or So Cal. I have gotten my past cars tinted by Preferred Window Tinting which gives a lifetime warranty on the tint. They have been great but I wanted to see if there is one in San Diego... any ideas ?

West Coast MINI sends tons of business Chris's way. He can afford to take good care of us.

Just to see if there are any other places people would recommend besides Best price Auto glass. I'm sure people have gotten their mini's tinted somewhere else in SD. Any opinions?

my opinion..tinting is like an art. there are a lot of places that
tint, but only a handful that tint very well.

I agree 100%. that is why I am trying to get other opinions so I don't go with the only one place that was recommended.

Also, I couldn't find a website or email contact for Best Price Auto Glass. Is there just a phone number?

What material do they use for their film?

And obviously if anybody else has an opinion on an excellent tinter in SD that would be helpful.

Solar Care also seems really good. They did the custom clear bra on my car and I watched them tinting another car while I waited.

ok here is another one. SDtint

Has anyone tried them. they have been around for 20 years... I haven't called and seen how pricey they are though. So i might do that later.

They also install clear bra...i think. On the website (www.sdtint.com) they have this
" CPFilms new Third Generation Urethane Paint Protection film leads the industry in optical clarity, allowing the true color and shine of your vehicles finish shine though"

Not exactly sure what this is, but I will look into it.

any thoughts?

my thoughts are www.xpel.com has a list of clearbra installers at their site.
usually those installers do tint as well, so might be worth a look.

i'm not the biggest fan of xpel and other pre-cut packages. they just don't provide sufficient coverage and as a result stand out more.

I was referred to Ultimate Shield in Orange County CA for the tint, as well as the clearbra installation. The clearbra will be roughly $600 and the tint will be about $300. This was a referral from Ryan of AutoPaintGuard on NAM. Has anyone else had their SoCal mini tinted or clearbraed at Ultimate Shield ?

http://ultimateshield.com/

I just want to make sure I get a top notch install on both the tint and clearbra.

I have always used Mr. Tint in Escondido. They have been here for a long time and stand behind there tint 100%.

I had my Dodge Dakota windows all limo. They did my Cadillac all limo. they might also do my Mini all limo too. But if the WCM guys are using this Chris guy I might look into him. I have been debating weather to limo the windows or get that cool looking silver tint.
