I found a little jewel today and just wanted to share it with everyone. I've always used the upright vacuum (with hose attachment) from the house to clean the carpet in the car but I've never thought it did a very good job. I bought this today:

It's a hand held vacuum but it has a few features that makes it really useful for car detailing. The part with the rotating brush detaches from the body and lets you vacuum in the car without trying to manuver the entire vacuum around inside your car. It also has a hose attachment with quite a bit more suction than my upright vacuum. And it's bagless -- it has a plastic canaster that you just detach and dump. The rotating brush makes it much more effective at cleaning carpet that the standard shop vac. And the best part is that it's only $40.
