I've been patiently waiting for 07 colors too. Guess your experience is one sign that I shouldn't bother going the give-the-code-to-vendor route!

I've tried a few. Most say it doesn't exist. Visual something or other is the one that said the code was for a silver mitsubishi. What I find curious is that, if there is a universal code system (as opposed to individual manufacturers using an internal code), how could 63A be unique? You would think the numbers would have to look like a VIN with all the different colors out there.

actually the code for your lightning blue is A63 so it may be the combination of having the letter in the wrong spot. I have a silk green MINI and when i gave the painter my color code to have him match the paint he went to the BMW section of his paint book and looked for my color code and found it no problem.

Actually, it says "A63/5" on the sticker. I tried both A63 and A65. One (I forget which) came up as the mitsu silver. the other as invalid. I was told "A63/5" is not a paint at all.

The code that we use for lightning blue is A63... i know that when we send cars over to our body shop that is the code that we give them. And I am usign the term "Our" liberally as they are independently owned it is just the shop that we use. I will also look into if they make touch up bottels and the next time that I send a lightning blue over there I will see if they can get me a bottle of touch up paint for you. PM with your info and I will see what I can do about getting you a bottle of touch up paint to keep your MINI looking lovely
