Now, if it happens, I'll know who did it. They better be in good standing with the sheet metal gods. They will need it.
And I thought the whine was only local the 2nd gen forums. I guess you've branched out.

kenchan,..one question. Do you have a portable steam cleaner to use for cleaning underneath the car? I also use it to clean the carpet and mats in the car. It is also a really nice engine cleaner.

manifest,..my whines know no bounds.

no, no need cause i dont drive the cars in the wet.

i wipe down the undercarriage on occassion when im under the car
modding or changing oil, doing maintenance checks, sus setting
changes, etc.

my carpets and mats are clean cause i only wear my pilot's in
the car and im usually the only one in the car. i vac once maybe a
year and it's enough.

prevention is a step ahead.

now my daily drivers are another story. i use a/s matts in there and
switch them over to carpet mats when it gets warmer....in fact, i should
switch to my carpet mats this weekend.

Ok kenchan, if you are so OCD, that you won't drive when the weather is bad for fear of getting them dirty, then you have me beat. I humbly succumb to the OCD leader.

You know that really sucks when people are not only inconsiderate, but go out of their way to intentionally damage other peoples property. I park out in the north 40, way out away from everybody, and it never fails, I end up with some early 70's boat car next to me. I wish that I not only had surveillance cameras, and a poop-free zone, but also some sort of force field to keep those 400 lb boat car doors away from my mini!

^^ very true. as you said, it never ends moodylewdd. ive had several
(many) instances like that where i park far away only to find a truck or
minivan or something huge (trailer trash looking crap) park like 2ft away
from my car.

why? why? why? why do people do this? and after a while,
you finally realize that you dont have time for this crap.

wat really sucks is that even if you did pin him/her down, i dont think
they have insurance or have the money to repair the damage they caused
with their doors or bumpers, etc. ive had one instance where i was in
my car eating icecream with my buddies at a icecream shop and some lady
pulls up next to my car opens the door, TAPS my car (doesn't even
notice she volated my car) and tries to walk away. ... huh? dont
you live by rules lady? kinda.

was sad watching my mom's car (back like 15yrs ago) when her car got
hit in the parking lot... twice in the same shopping center, $1500 in
repairs. lexus dealer was cracking up cause they were like, 'madam, i
though you were here like a month ago?' all she could do was
on and on it goes.

sad world some times.

I was at a Wendy's the other night, ordering a Frosty (it was like 105 degrees outside and nothing here has a freaking drive-thru) and there was a very elderly man in line behind me - old enough that I was concerned he was out driving and if he were related to me he'd probably be in some sort of care facility...anyway...I'm collecting my Frosty and someone comes in from the parking lot "Hey, who owns the beige Plymouth out here?" Someone had backed into it and just driven away. But the couple who had seen it had gotten the plate number, and 15 minutes later she was back, with the cops (ha).

She said she didn't "feel the bump"...she PLOWED into his car though, like it was a good sized dent, there's no way she couldn't have felt that.

I ALWAYS call in hit-and-runs when I see them. Nothing makes me more angry.

People are amazing. You know people have hit me before, and being oserved by others, they leave a note. Unfortuantely the note didnt say anything, but "I hit your car" no name, no nothing. Nice huh? Yeh, the parking lots scare me. Today I parked about 2 miles from the store, nobody around, come out 15 minutes later have a giant SUV towering over my car. It never fails, I have scratches in my paint from some cowboys giant belt buckle. Wouldnt have even known were they came from if he hadnt left his hands and greasy face print in my window. I still think some sort of invisible, electrified, invincible force field is is the answer.

dang, sorry to hear. this will occur again and again.

ive had instances where some goof left his foot print on my rear bumper
(earlier hobby car when i only had one car). yah, i think his shoe lace
came undone and conveniently my car was sitting there... like a
mile away from the store with no other car around.
