I'm heading down to the Dragon this Saturday, so I won't be able to make this run.
Even if I wasn't, it's a bit far for me.
Y'all enjoy...it'll be beautiful out there this time of year. Drive safe.

I have been working aLLLLLLL week long and still have another night to go, and am purely exhausted, and he actually has to work now on Sat...
Bummer I will look forward to seeing you all on the next one.

Kruttie I will have your cakes at the dragon

Nice to see everyone hanging in there we should have a nice group, great weather, and a good time.

If you need to bug-out early, let's talk early and figure out your best escape route.

See ya'll tomorrow!

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to bail on this run. I am just way too tired, especially after such an exhausting week... there's just no way I'm going to be up and out the door in order to be in Marshall, VA by 8:30am!

Sorry to miss it - I'll definitely have to make it to the next time this run happens.

Have fun all. I'm still in Cali, so not much chance of me making it.

Hey guys,

Kathy and I had a blast. Here is a link to some of the pictures we took. I got a bunch with the cars in the parking lot. Kathy has some more, so I will post them after she gets them off her camera. See you guys next time!

updated: I have all the pics up now.

From Motoring to Mowtoring -

So, I get home, park the 2002 MC/CR and get on the JD LT160 Auto, (with steering mod). Thinking about what a great day this has been.

- Had a great time - thanks to everyone for making the drives to get here. Thanks to Wino for bringing up the drags, and helping to keep us together, and I appreciate all patience with my incorrect directions, the swell maps, ability to discern right from left, The fact that I'm radio challenged, lack of concern for bathroom stops, and there's probably more, but I leatrned a bit - next time.

Thanks to all for the company on the ride, and the pics so far . . .

Craig

It was a great run. Thank you Craig for making this happened.

At the end, I've decided to play hookie and stay all the way through.

Awesome roads, good burger and icecream and great company.

I wish we could have more chance to stop for some photo op.

Craig, It was magnificent! The roads, the lack of traffic, the colors of the trees and wildflowers, the glare off of all the red coopers, the lunch, the high school girls softball team that cleaned my wheels, the weather. What a great day! Craig put together a fantastic trip!
Thanks to all for the photos as well.

Glad to see that there was a god turnout!! It looks like fun was had by all! I wish I could have made it, but I'm knee deep in Dragon prepping, and there was a going away party I kinda had to go to for one of my military buddies that's being shipped off to a less desirable part of the world yesterday. Unfortunately, there's only so many hours in a day!

And Craig, the chaos of leading a run is half the fun! If it seemed like I knew what I was doing for MBTB IV, I really didn't! It's just after running the route so many times over the past few years, I almost got it down pat!

Hopefully you'll be willing to run this again later in the year! Maybe a fall colors run?

I'll be ready to do this again, and Fall would be beautiful.

Next time we may get a chance to put the MINIs on that go-cart track for a photo op. We talked to the owners about it this time, but the track had some spots where they were worried about the weight. When repaired, they'll let us try it.

Yep, driving was the easy part - do that all the time. Everything else worked out, and it seemed everyone had a good time, we ended with (roughly) the same number of cars that we started with, and no one got arrested or broken down. Nothing to harsh on our mellow

And. . . I wasn't sure how it would be, but there's just something cool about a nice 3-hour, 110 mile ride through the Shenandoah Valley, with a line of 14 MINIs behind you.

Hayley and I had blast yesterday. Thank you Craig for putting this together. What a great drive. We will definitely be doing this again. Beautiful scenery, beautiful cars and fun people.

And all the photos are great.

Craig, that run was just AMAZING!!! Thanks so much for putting it together. You did incredibly well considering you've only been a DCMM member a month or so . Eric and I have pictures...will post as soon as I can. Thanks again to everyone, too. We had a blast!
p.s. I think I want to move to Front Royal!!!
