Bowie Baysox Stadium, Bowie, MD is the location of the next CDC autocross event, on SATURDAY August 19th. If you've ever wanted to try autocrossing, this is the event to attend.

The course this week is less complicated than most of the other courses, in one of the larger autocross lots being used in the area (other than FedEx), and there probably won't be as many people with the vacation season. So you should get at least 6 runs.

Registration and tech inspection will be at 8:00 and will promptly close at 8:45 to try to accomodate the full field, while still giving 6 runs. You must be DONE by 8:45. So if you arrive at 8:00 you won't have a problem. Don't arrive at the last minute. If you don't get teched and registered by 8:45, you will lose your morning runs.


The event fee is $25 for members and $35 for non-members.

Thank you for posting the event. I was looking for your group just the other day. Do you have the Class Run schedule for this Saturday? I have something scheduled in the early afternoon .. I migth be able to make it if the Ladies Group is not the last run of the day ...

We don't run in different classes in different heats. We all just run together. The only exception is that I try to put the first-timers in later heats so that they have an opportunity to ride/watch other people. Conversely, I try to get the instructors to drive early so that they are more available to instruct the less experienced drivers in the later heats.

Saturday's autocross will have 3 different heats. Each heat will run 3 runs in the morning and 3 runs in the afternoon. Participants that wish to leave early can run 4 runs in the morning and forfeit the afternoon runs (a popular option when you can't spend the entire day there). If you'd like, we can put you in heat 1, which should finish their morning runs around 10:30 to 11:00 am.
