Those of you who live near Old Town Alexandria should know that Whole Foods just opened at the corner of Holland Lane and Duke St. This week, vendors are there with samples, so basically you can eat for free! (I just walked over for some veggies and Haloumi cheese and ended up being fed steak, sausages, crackers, cheese, some drinks, shrimp and a few other things!) Whole Foods is great, with the best cheese department, really good meats, vegetables and a nice line of organic stuff. Plenty of good snacks to keep in the MINI glovebox as well.
